Extractions: The word "Chevalier" means "Knight" in French. It was a title of nobility in the Kingdom of France. Joseph could not inherit his father's status as a member of the nobility, because his mother was an African. Nevertheless, he was called "Chevalier de Saint-Georges" from a young age. When he became an adult he signed his surname "Saint-George" and that became the customary spelling in French.
Extractions: 6/05/04 - Review Competition Posted by Darth Maul If you are a member of our forums then you will probably know about the Final Fantasy Game Review Competition that has been conducted there. If not, then I'll give you a brief overview. Essentially this competition required each contestant to write a game review for a Final Fantasy game of their choice on a first come, first serve basis. The reviews submitted by the contestants were then marked by four judges - myself, Tim, Celes and platinumheart - under strict criteria relating to quality of written communication, justification of arguments, and the quality of the introduction and conclusion so that the person(s) who scored the best could be declared winner. Here are the five excellent entries submitted for your reading pleasure: A Final Fantasy Mystic Quest review by Dragon God. A Final Fantasy V review by Gilgamesh. A Final Fantasy VII review by Totz. A Final Fantasy IX review by Djinova. A Final Fantasy X review by FinalFantasyMan.

Extractions: with editorial assistance from Christian Herold This resource guide is an introductory list of various organizations, events, web sites and bibliographic references, focusing on women and music. This list does not claim to be exhaustive. Instead, it provides the reader with an entryway into a rapidly expanding network. The internet has provided an invaluable place to foster the ongoing conversations between women who are interested in music; therefore, this list will be most useful for those with access to the World Wide Web. This guide does not include academic edited volumes, or other academic essays. The guide could not have been completed without the help of Sarah Whitworth, Eva Wiener of NYWC, Inc., and various members of IAWM-L discussion list (hosted by the International Alliance of Women in Music). Beth Anderson Herold <beand@interport.net> generously lent her flyer, " The Internet For Women In Music " <http://www.users.interport.net/~beand/ ifwm.html>. A few sections of this guide have been taken from her text. This guide is divided into the following sections: I.
