Learning Disabilities In Postsecondary Education A Job Hunters Guide for colorado Citizens with The Center for Research on DevelopmentalEducation and Urban 12 June 2003 http//www.gen.umn.edu/research http://library.fortlewis.edu/reference/subjects/learningdisabilitiespostsecondar
Extractions: Use TALON to locate books at the Reed Library. Remember you will get better search results, when doing word searches, if you use Boolean logic techniques in your searching. The terms "learning disabilities" and "postsecondary education" are both Library of Congress Subject Headings and can be used to perform a subject search or combined using the Boolean operator AND (learning disabilities AND postsecondary education) for a keyword search. Since the Reed Library collection is fairly small, you will improve your chances of finding books and other items in library catalogs if you expand your search to libraries beyond the Reed Library. You can perform the same types of searches described above, but you will likely retrieve expanded results. See the information below on Prospector and WorldCat. Prospector is a unified catalog of sixteen academic, public and special libraries in Colorado and Wyoming. Through Prospector, you have access to over 10 million books, journals, sound recordings, films, videotapes and other materials held in these libraries. You can identify and borrow materials from these collections and have them delivered to John F. Reed Library. You can connect to Prospector through TALON by first running a search in the catalog. Once TALON search results are displayed, you can retrieve additional results for the same search from Prospector by selecting the "search Prospector unified catalog" button. Items owned by Prospector libraries may be requested through Prospector's online interlibrary loan system. Prospector can also be accessed from the Other Library Catalogs menu on the library homepage.
