This second stage of the re-furbishment is almost complete, and the third stage is about to begin. Unfortunately, this will mean that we will lose access to some diamonds for the season, but in the long term, we will have a much-improved playing facility. A fourth phase is still in the planning stages The new style of backstop should also provide some extra protection to bench players and minimise time lost by decreasing the number of times the ball is declared dead during the game. This was a major project that began with the new design and trialing of the prototype last season. It is gratifying to be able to sign off on the project. To new players, the Board extends a warm welcome. Please maximise the opportunities to improve your fitness and general health that Softball provides and make sure that you have lots of fun while you are doing it. As a team sport, Softball will provide you with excellent opportunities to meet new people and make new friends.
