Extractions: Music has always played a big part in my life. From three years of piano lessons as a child to singing in the church youth choir to playing Tuba and Sousaphone in my High School Stage and Marching Bands to teaching electric and acoustic guitar. The piano lessons were my Mom's idea. Church choir was a result of a religious upbringing. And High School Band was just plain fun! My interest in guitar playing was inspired by David Young, who joined our family as a foreign exchange student from Hong Kong, China. And by my best old x-friend's older brother Jim. My first guitar was an old 3/4 size student Acoustic guitar (a Stella Harmony) that my sister had owned since childhood. I played that one for an entire year before buying my first Electric guitar (an Electra MPC-360). About six years ago I received my first nylon string Classical guitar (a Fender FC-110) as a birthday present. And recently I bought a left-handed '68 reissue Fender Stratocaster just like the one pictured on the left side of this page (I had it re-strung to play right-handed).
