The 2000 recruiting class is another illustration of the improvement we continue to make. I am very pleased with the balance in this class and our ability to meet many of the specific personnel needs we had in our program." Quarterback "Obviously we are extremely excited to have someone with Chris Kelley's talent coming to Maryland. Statistically, you can see where he is an accomplished passer as well as an accomplished runner and playmaker. I look for great things from Chris Kelley. Chris expressed to me that he chose Maryland because it is his state university. Chris's goal is to be the quarterback that leads Maryland to an ACC championship. We were not looking to sign a junior college quarterback. One of our assistant coaches, Mike Gundy , had the task of prospecting junior colleges nationwide in search of specific needs. During his search, he uncovered Shaun Hill. As a former quarterback and quarterback coach himself, he thought Shaun was an outstanding prospect. He then transferred the tape to offensive coordinator

The information is easily accessible and searchable: if you type "compliance" plus a keyword into the search box on the main page you will hopefully find the rules and any interpretations on whatever topic you are researching. The NCAA principle on rules compliance provides that members of Indiana University's staff, student-athletes, and other individuals and groups representing Indiana's athletics interests shall comply with the applicable NCAA rules, and that Indiana University is responsible for such compliance. This website is one of many resources that we hope our constituents use to ensure that their actions are within the intent of the rules. The Campbell program received accreditation after an extensive two-year evaluation process. Athletic training is a rigorous academic program that works with the athletic department to provide an environment for athletic training students to receive clinical education and provide health care for the college athlete. According to CAAHEP, an athletic trainer is a qualified allied health care professional educated and experienced in the management of health care problems associated with sports participation. They are members of the athletic health care team not only in colleges but in high schools, professional sports programs, and sports medicine clinics as well. They must cooperate with medical personnel, athletic administrators, coaches, and parents in the development and coordination of efficient and responsive health care delivery systems."

Observation Students are encouraged to get adjusted to college life and college academics first. Students should observe basic procedures and techniques to form a foundation to build clinical skills. These skills should be reviewed as they prepare to apply to the curriculum. These hours do count toward the total 1050 hours required for graduation by the athletic training education program. If a student decides after their freshman year upon this major or transfers to Campbell University, he/she may apply if all pre-application requirements are met by April 15 th of that academic year. Once the student has applied to the Athletic Training Education Program and been classified as a Curriculum Athletic Training Student, the student progresses through the clinical education requirements and skills as they are sequenced. They are organized to correspond with classroom instruction and expected levels of individual responsibility and maturity. It is expected that they complete at least 800 hours of clinical education.

I picked up the language naturally by watching television, playing with my Japanese friends, and just living every day immersed in the culture.
