Extractions: Monash University Law Library is home to one of the largest collections of Pacific Island States and Territories primary and secondary law materials in Australasia. Located on the third floor of the Law Library, the collection is open to users during normal Law Library opening hours . Requests for document supply may be made via the Document Delivery Unit (if eligible) or, commercially, through Monash University Library External Client Services. Further Information The Law Library aims to maintain an up-to-date collection of the law, law-related literature and legal information of and concerning the states and territories of the Pacific Island region. It is hoped that the collection will encourage the study, wider understanding and deeper knowledge of the laws of the peoples of the Pacific Islands and their region, and will facilitate legal research relevant to the Pacific Island region. This may be by studies carried out in and from Monash University and in cooperation with governments, courts, legal professions, institutions for legal education and training, and law-related agencies in the region. States and Territories In the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), some elements of the Natural Heritage Trust (NHT) are jointly delivered by the Australian and ACT Governments. Environment ACT is the lead ACT Government Agency for delivery of the NHT. The Departments of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and the Environment and Heritage , through the Australian Government Natural Resource Management Team , are the lead Australian Government agencies for delivery of the NAP and the NHT in the ACT and across Australia. The Australian Capital Territory is unique within the context of NRM due to its geographic position and its population size. The ACT is an NRM region and it is also wholy within another defined NRM region. The ACT Government has entered into a Bilateral Agreement with the Australian Government for the Natural Heritage Trust. It is a signatory to the Intergovernmental Agreement for the NAP, however a Bilateral Agreement is yet to be concluded. A joint Australian and ACT Government Steering Committee is responsible for managing the delivery of the NHT in the ACT.
