WCAS - Wabash County Astronomical Society subject. The plaza featured an immensely popular Sidewalk astronomy attraction. English.Google, WWW WACASO.org. Revised 3/31/04 B.Miller/D.Chakko. http://www.wacaso.org/
Extractions: Comets NEAT and LINEAR may become visible to the naked eye in April and May. They are already visible by telescope. Join us on April 30 or May 1 for some sidewalk astronomy in the Wabash Honeywell Center's west parking lot. Friday is the primary date, Saturday the backup in case of bad weather. Directions to Honeywell Center The 2004 Home and Business expo is now history, and by all accounts was an unqualified success! WCAS/ARGUS had an eye - catching display in the main gallery, featuring renderings of the Project, and a PowerPoint presentation on the same subject. The plaza featured an immensely popular Sidewalk Astronomy attraction. Organizers of the event say that our location at the Event may remain constant from year to year, if we so desire. Of the many visitors who stopped at the WCAS booth, all were interested in the ARGUS project, some wanted to join WCAS, and a few even brought rocks they thought might be meteorites! Another attraction was the great view of sunspots with the scopes set up in the plaza by Mike Proebstle and Walter Brandle. A good time was had by all, and we look forward to next year's expo.

Extractions: Find charts Ray Berg prepares to make observations. AAVSO data contributed by thousands of observers over decades is vital to variable star research. Annually, AAVSO Headquarters receives between 200-300 requests for data from researchers, members, observers, and educators. The AAVSO data are used extensively to correlate multi-wavelength observations of variable stars, scheduling ground-based and satellite observations, and for analysis of stellar behavior. Papers using AAVSO data are published by researchers, members, observers, and AAVSO staff. This page is an attempt to list these papers which are a testimony to the dedication and contribution of thousands of observers around the world who contribute data to the AAVSO International Database. It also serves as a partial reference to variable star research. To make this list more complete, we need your help. Please

Extractions: This file is www.csama.org/200003nl.htm by Tom Willis The Cosmos According to "Science" We began by asking " Are the Laws of Classical Physics True?" We then followed with a brief summary of only one area of " Classical Physics The Cosmos According to the Bible Interestingly, a straightforward interpretation of the Bible would lead anyone to believe that the Earth was created first, it was created virtually instantaneously (Genesis 1,2) only a few thousand years ago (Genesis 4,5 and 10-12 give the names of one line of descendants from the first week down to known historical times. The literal meaning of these passages are repeatedly confirmed in the New Testament, Luke 3:23-38, Jude 1:14, Galations 3:17). The Bible strongly states that the earth can be shaken, but does not move at all (Ps 93:1). But the sun does move (e.g., Joshua 10:12-14) and does so in a circuit (Psalm 19:1-6). Some will argue "that is only your interpretation." My response is simply, "It is not an interpretation at all, it is what the words say. Try making them say that God took billions of years to build the earth, it happened billions of years ago, and it travels around the sun."
