Many of the principal buildings of the city are neo-classical. Modern buildings in the city-centre are evident but rare the most obvious being Liberty Hall, Dublin's sole sky scraper, and the infamous "Bunkers". The suburbs are mainly of post independence (1919) construction but notable exceptions are Ballsbridge, Donnybrook, Dún Laoghaire, Dalkey, and Howth among others. In 1984, Louis F. Parkins joined the firm to oversee day-to-day production activities. During the next few years the professional staff grew, under Louis' guidance, to cover all technical disciplines, advanced PC use and improved productivity. With the addition of major contracts with the Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. General Services Administration and others, U.S.
