Veritaserum has posted an interview with the one of the lucky twelve people destined to be Cho Chang. Here are some of the questions: Veritaserum.com: Do you know if the part of Cho Chang has been chosen yet? Natasha: Well, last week, Finoa Weir [the casting assistant] rang the Chos up. I went to Pineapple studios, and found out that I was in the final 36. Then we were divided into 3 groups of 12. Each group had about an hour with Ben, the drama guy. Then at the end of each session, individually, each girl had to see Fiona Weir. Out of the 36 people, she asked 12 to come back to the callback later that day. These people came back at 2:00 in the afternoon. Mike Newell told us we were the final 12 and that he would be picking Cho from this group. Veritaserum.com:

Extractions: In Stage two, it had been whittled down to 36; this group was divided into three groups of 12. Each group had a time slot, of approximately 2 hours. In this time, we went in, and played improvisation games and acting, whilst constantly being filmed and watched by the director. At the end of each group's session, each girl was seen to individually by Fiona Weir (Assistant casting director) She told them that At 2.00pm we came back and were supplied with lunch (the crew etc were so lovely). Then we were given the script to anaylse, but were told not to learn it, just to understand it. Then we went in for about half and hour and did more improvisation with Ben, the drama man. Individually, we were called in to do an improvisation based on the script we had read previously. One at a time, the girls went in and I was last so had to wait 2 hours!! When I went in, I was quite scared because of what the other girls had told me, but Mike was really nice and made me feel cool and comfortable. I did an improvisation on the scene with Ben playing Harry (and me obviously as Cho!). We were being filmed and watched. In all, I was in there about 15 minutes: it was over so quickly! But it was such a good experience. Then Fiona put her arm round me, and said the usual well done etc... and told me she'd ring me by the end of the week, which she did.
