THE MODERATOR: First question, please. Q. Well done. Jonas , this partnership you're developing here with Todd ? It's getting some rewards, isn't it? JONAS BJORKMAN: Yeah, it's nice. I mean, it was a great position for me when Todd came and asked me because everyone didn't know that Mark was gonna retire. So I was very quick to sort of say yes to get into this position, because playing with Todd is a great honor, but is also a great opportunity to win big majors with such a good doubles player. So it's been a great partnership so far. Hopefully - hopefully - he wants to continue now with the success so we can even win a little bit more. But, I mean, we got his records. I think we both sort of want to I want him to get through and make it, and I think he wants to sort of come to that stage as well. So, you know, we are looking forward for the rest of the year and, hopefully, maybe for next year as well.

Hint: He doesn't have curly hair and answer to "Pete." From his position on the forehand side, Australia's Todd Woodbridge has established himself as, arguably, the best doubles player the sport has known. A Hall of Fame shoo-in when he finally hangs 'em up, he's won 18 Grand Slam titles (12 in men's doubles and six in mixed), and odds are good that he'll surpass Tom Okker for career doubles titles with 78 (he's at 71 and counting).

Extractions: Your browser does not support JavaScript News Resource Centre 2004 Jan 12 - Todd Woodbridge slams Rusedski Todd Woodbridge - VP of the ATP's Player Council - has (over?)reacted to Greg Rusedski's attempt to clear his name in public before the ATP hearing he is set to face on the 9 February. The sensitive issue for the ATP is that Greg is resting the blame at their feet as it has been proven that they have previously provided supplements containing the banned substance nandrolone to professional tennis players. Todd said: "What he has done is shown the players this isn't the way to go about fighting a drug case. "I'm a little disappointed that he came out with it. He has made it very difficult for himself. "The fact is that if he is innocent, he has got an opportunity to prove that. If he can prove that, he won't be given any suspensions. "He is basically putting himself on trial to the public. I think that was the wrong way to go about it. "I am sure he would have reasons to combat my explanation. As it is, the process has not been tainted by the ATP or the players, it has been busted by Greg opening up. "My job is to go into the locker room and ram down the guys' throats that they can't do what Greg has done."
