Extractions: Now back in the competitive fray after experiencing the most torturous experience any sportsman could imagine. After having his name cleared by the Independent Drugs Tribunal that initially sat in Montreal during February, the 30 year-old left-hander made his comeback in Britainâs Davis Cup victory over Luxembourg. Never particularly affectionate towards the European clay court that extends though the spring, he will be more than happy to get back on British grass. Canadian by birth but very much British since taking on citizenship in June 1995, highlights of his career began to occur with rapidity two years later. In 1997 he became the first British man to reach the final of the US Open and six months later he propelled a 147 mph serve at Indian Wells that stood as a world record for more than six years.

Extractions: An interview with: GREG RUSEDSKI MODERATOR: Questions for Greg. Q. You started very well, got out of the 15-40 situation, kept pressure on very well. Was that the kind of match you wanted, as quick as that? GREG RUSEDSKI: It was nice to get that match out of the way. Golmard can be a bit of a tough opponent. I think he was struggling a little bit with his fitness today. He can always be dangerous because he can hit flashy passing shots, returns. You don't want to give him too much of a target. For me, I was pleased to get that match, the first match, done, get ready for my next match. Q. You must be very pleased with your form. GREG RUSEDSKI: Yeah, I feel pretty confident. Last week was a big boost for me, I think. It was the first week where I felt really physically good. I felt even though I lost to Hewitt, I didn't feel I played the best tennis of my life. But I felt physically, my body was good, mentally good. I think that was a positive. Against Richard, that was one of the best matches I played this year easily. I feel like it's coming back. I'm getting there. I've got this week and the next two weeks to get at least a decent ranking for the end of the year. Q. The aces were coming in as well, service winners. That must have been gratifying for you.

Extractions: Michael Jordan, because of his consistency and greatness all the time. Tennis wise, I would say John McEnroe. I always loved watching him play, watching him compete and I just liked his style of play, serve and volley. He had a fabulous touch around the net and he had great hands so I think he was exciting. I liked to watch him, but he played such a different style from me, he took the ball early. The only thing I copy him on is I string my rackets as loose as he does, 47lbs, but he is a great great player. Why do you string your tension that low?
