Extractions: ST. PETERSBURG - Fernando Tatis wants only one thing this spring. If he gets it, he figures everything else will fall into place. "My hope is to be healthy this year," Tatis said. "If I'm healthy, everything else will come." Tatis, invited to Rays camp as a nonroster player, isn't used to sniffing around for a job. Twice in the past three years, he opened the season as the Expos starting third baseman. But Tatis, who turned 29 last month, hasn't had much go right since an eye-popping 1999 season when he hit 34 homers with 107 RBIs for the Cardinals. He was leading the National League in RBIs (28) on April 28 of 2000 when his three-year string of injuries began. He missed 54 games that season with a strained groin. The problems continued. Tatis missed 121 games in 2001 with shoulder and knee injuries. He had more knee problems in 2002, missing 25 games, and then missed the last 31/2 months of last season with an inflammation of his chest wall.

Extractions: A comprehensive look at the baseball stars of tomorrow Main MLB News The Padres made news for what they did and didn't do today. What they did was sign LF Jay Payton to a 2-year deal. What they didn't was trade for C Jason Kendall Payton will be San Diego's starting left fielder in 2004. The 31-year-old is coming off his best season as a pro, as he hit a career-high 28 homers and drove in a career-high 89 RBIs. Just as importantly, he played in a career-high 157 games. Health is always the key with Payton. When he's healthy, he's a rock-solid #2 or #6 hitter. A good complementary player. So where does this leave Xavier Nady and Terrence Long , you ask? Definitely on the outside. I can see both being used as trade bait, but only Nady will draw great interest. If San Diego does not trade either of them by the start of the season, expect Long to be their 4th outfielder and Nady at Triple-A. I don't see the Padres using Nady in a reserve role. Now on to the Kendall saga. For the 27th time, a Kendall deal between the Padres and Pirates has fallen through. The latest rumor had Kendall going to San Diego for C

Extractions: 2000 RECAP: 67-95, fourth place in NL East. MANAGER: Felipe Alou (670-686 career). NEW FACES: 3B Fernando Tatis, RHP Britt Reames, IF Ryan Minor. LONG GONE: RHP Dustin Hermanson, LHP Steve Kline, IF/OF Wilton Guerrero, C Lenny Webster. WHAT TO LOOK FOR THIS SEASON: RUMOR MILL: Ugueth Urbina is expected to be back in the closer role after two elbow surgeries. But he might not be closing games in an Expos uniform for too long, as if healthy, he could go to a contender by the trade deadline. THE PRESSURE IS ON: Fernando Tatis played his way into Tony La Russa's doghouse in St. Louis, and found himself benched in the playoffs. The Expos dealt ace Dustin Hermanson and closer Steve Kline to the Cardinals to get him, so Tatis needs to reach his 30-homer, 100-RBI potential. PROJECTED BATTING ORDER: CF Peter Bergeron, 2B Jose Vidro, RF Vladimir Guerrero, 3B Fernando Tatis, 1B Lee Stevens, LF Milton Bradley, C Mike Barrett/Brian Schneider, SS Orlando Cabrera. PROJECTED ROTATION: RHP Javier Vazquez, RHP Tony Armas Jr., RHP Hideki Irabu, RHP Mike Thurman, RHP Britt Reames or LHP Scott Downs. CLOSER: RHP Ugueth Urbina.

What's the difference between a Poster, a Photo, and an Art Print? A. Good question! The difference is usually in the paper quality and the exclusivity. Wall posters are printed in large volume on less expensive paper, Art Prints are printed on higher-quality thicker paper and usually in lower quantity. Photos prints are similar to what you get when you take your own film to a high quality photo developer, the only drawback to photo prints are that they are usually fairly small (8x10) the advantage is that they are very economical! This poster store is a part of JD Hodges ' website where you will find photos, artwork, paintings, and more, thank you for visiting!
