Extractions: The seeming inexorable rise of the football hooligan culture throughout the 1970's and 1980's was also a strong feature that provoked Government action though it was far from clear how this burgeoning problem could be contained; one solution proposed by Chelsea Chairman, Ken Bates, of electrified fences was however rejected (18).

Extractions: In a career lined with accomplishment, culminating in a record-breaking 1994 season and a trip to the pro-bowl, former Tennessee place kicker and current Minnesota Viking Fuad Reveiz has learned a great deal. Today, Reveiz will be on campus to share his experiences with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Reveiz, who played at UT from 1981 through 1984, kicked an NFL record 28 consecutive field goals this season helping the Vikings to another Central Division title and their third straight trip to the playoffs. Rob Merriman, senior majoring in psychology and president of the non-denominational ministry, said Reveiz's appearance is special because of the kicker's professional success. "He's a highlight (for the organization) because he is so good," Merriman said. "He's also a great family man and a godly man." He said Reveiz would talk about his life both as an athlete and a religious man. Merriman said the organization, which flourished during the early 1980s when Reggie White was here, fell on hard times after White's departure to the NFL and is only its third semester since returning to campus in the spring of 1994.
